Welcome to Elgin ISD 2016 Summer PD Institute! Please browse our PD offerings. You can register for a session by clicking the session title and adding it to your schedule. You can view your schedule on your mobile phone or have it emailed to you. Once you attend a session, your registration and CPE hours will be entered onto Eduphoria. Session times are as follows: AM: 8:30 am - 11:30 am PM: 12:30pm - 3:30pm All Day: 8:30am - 3:30 pm All sessions on Monday, July 25 - Monday, August 1 & August 3 will be held at Elgin High School. All sessions on Tuesday, August 2 will be held at Elgin Middle School. District Initiative Sessions are designated in areas of academic need for EISD. Teachers in the applicable subjects/corresponding grade levels will receive a stipend for attending these sessions ($25 for half day; $50 for all day)
The Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention System (LLI) is a small-group, supplementary literacy intervention designed to help teachers provide powerful, daily, small-group instruction for the lowest achieving students at their grade level. Through systematically designed lessons and original, engaging leveled books, LLI supports learning in both reading and writing, helps students expand their knowledge of language and words and how they work. The goal of LLI is to bring students to grade level achievement in reading. This session is limited to elementary K-2 selected teachers and interventionist staff.
